al-Maqrīzī (المقريزي, Taqī al-Dīn Aḥmad ibn ʿAlī), AD 1364–1442.
          al-Mawāʿiẓ wa-l-iʿtibār bi-dhikr al-khiṭaṭ wa-l-āthār (المواعظ والإعتبار بذكر الخطط والآثار:
          Admonitions and Reflection on the Districts and Monuments), Khiṭaṭ al-Maqrīziyya. before AD 1442.
          Its title follows al-Quḍāʿī’s. Section ذكر الأهرام ascribes the account of Surīd to Ibrāhīm ibn Wasīf Shāh al-Ustādh,
          citing his Akhbār Miṣr wa-ʿajāʾibihā:
